Kind Readers,
What a lovely day today! The sun shines bright, the wind breeze gently, birds singing and I am faithful. It was a celebration of our Independence Day this past 4th of July. My family and I went to a beautiful picnic at the park and we had a fabulous time to watch the fireworks show together at the park here in San Jose, CA.
We feel blessed, we are thankful to experience , to recognize, to value our freedom, our liberty, to enjoy life, to create, to work, to maintain, to take care each other in time of needs, in time of celebration, in time of appreciation together. This time is a right time to do reflection and to give thanks to our ancestors whom given us freedom, to leave their legacy to us, to prosper, to continue and to live long and prosperous. There is no time to waste, we can’t afford to take things for granted, because all things happen for a reason.
What gives you a sense of independence in your life? When I think of independence I think of having freedom of choice, to think and to act without relying on others. It’s your right to move according to your own rhythms.
Having one’s own ability in life to take control, to take matters in your own hands. In terms of having financial freedom, as a Home Business Owner of course in this context, you will love to have your own funds for home repairs, going out to lunch or dinner with friends, traveling, visiting family across the country, purchasing a new car, even a new home or a second property, to take a cruise around the world, paying medical bills or for medications; paying for help with housework, meal preparation, yard work or transportation, whatever is desired can give that feeling of independence. Especially with the economic condition nowadays, having a good next, a good investment and being able to pay off a mortgage to improve cash flow to save one’s home from foreclosure gives one relief and freedoms.
Think about it, what gives you peace of mind, what motivates you to work smarter and to be able to provide a good life style for your self and for your family?
Having a sense of independence really helps you to grow and to go out from your comfort zone, to push your limit to the max. In terms of doing home business, perhaps change jobs, perhaps visit a new place that you never been before, or create a new relationship or a new belief and maintaining your belief in life , to be discipline and having a real commitment to your self and to others are really critical, really important. You have to know your own power and ability.
Being independent does not come easy. You have to fight for it, you have to appreciate every steps and aspects to reach and to appreciate your independence.
These are some few steps of Independence:
1. Set boundaries, have a discipline and a commitment. Nobody’s perfect. We all have our challenges in life. Still have must have confidence and faith. To take control and stability in life. When we have faith and believe in the Lord, in others and in our selves, everything will become easier and the path to independence and harmony will open its way for us naturally. All takes time, effort and action definitely. Remember to be kind and always be smart, everyone has a piece of my heart, but not everyone has a piece of my calendar. Manage your time wisely, because it is precious.
2. Take responsibility to your self. You must first love your self. Filled your heart and mind with gladness and positivity. Take care and nurture your self, therefore you can give back and nurture others as well. Being responsible to your self in the main step to become independent. You know your ability and your limit. Don’t forget to be humble when you need help. Develop a spirit of leadership, then grow to team work and working together hand in hand.
3. Plan and strategize your life accordingly. Put them in action. Life is a blessings, everyday is a journey that we all have to persevere. Plan your life wisely. Write things down in your journal, in your memo. Your vision, your memory, experiences, your activities schedule for today, this month, this year even five years from now. Therefore you will have a guidance to guide your path and your blue print to design your life and to reach your goals.
In conclusion, let’s embrace our lives to the fullest, let’s make it simple and make it happen. Let’s appreciate our sense of independence and the thankfulness to be alive and being able to add values to others. What motivates you everyday? What are the things that you are grateful for? List them down and think about it, ponder it and reflect on it daily. You will have a clearer vision and a fresh sensibility.
Have a blessed day!

Hi Ceryl!
Great blog post! I’m a very independent person, learned what responsibility is like at a young age because I’m the oldest. The only thing that is holding me back that I have yet to conquer is financial independence
Thanks for sharing!
Melanie
